Meet Karta Purkh Singh Khalsa
 

Karta Purkh Singh Khalsa, D.N.-C., R.H., R.Y.T, is one of the foremost natural health experts in the field. Khalsa began practicing kundalini yoga in 1973, and soon began exploring natural healing systems from around the world. For over thirty years, he was personally mentored by Yogi Bhajan in herbal medicine, Ayurveda and therapeutic nutrition. At Yogi Bhajan’s direction, he founded Yogi Bhajan’s herbal medicine lines, Yogic Herbs and Herb Technology, which are now part of Yogi Tea.


Khalsa is a prolific health writer, with over 1,000 articles in publication, in magazines including Let’s Live, Herb Quarterly, Better Nutrition and Aquarian Times. He has authored or edited 30 health books, including his latest, The Way of Ayurvedic Herbs. He is a KRI Certified Kundalini Yoga teacher and a RYT 500. Khalsa is a state certified dietitian and registered herbalist, and is a national officer in The American Herbalists Guild.


Karta Purkh Singh Khalsa is a health educator who teaches at all levels of education, from general public presentations, to professional training programs. He specializes in making Ayurveda accessible to the Western student. His classes are always dynamic and entertaining, as well as educational.


Khalsa serves as senior research scientist for Yogi Tea and Peace Cereal.
