Packing List

 

The following is a list of items we recommend you bring to camp, which will help to make your stay more comfortable. Please note that even though we are in a camping environment, as a yogic tradition, many people wear white.

Tenting Items:

Tent: you must have a dependable waterproof tent (most people prefer tents large enough to stand up in)

Outdoor electrical cord, if you want electricity in your tent (50 ft recommended)

Sleeping bag or warm bedding (nights are usually cold)

Sleeping mat or cot and pillow

Tarp or plastic ground cloth

Yoga mat or sheepskin

Flashlight, Umbrella, Alarm clock

Lock for tent (optional)

Backpack

Luxury items: fan and electric lamp

Clothing:

Warm clothes (for morning Sadhana and physical training i.e. sweat pants and sweat shirts)

Warm jacket, Raincoat or parka

Light sweater

Sadhana blanket or shawl

Warm sleep wear & bath robe

Running/Walking Shoes

Shower Shoes or flip flops

Comfortable clothes for classes (shorts, loose pants and tee shirts)

Attire for evening lectures

White cotton head covering

Bathing suit

Sun visor, sun screen, and sunglasses!



Toiletries and Personal Care Items:

 

Hanging toiletry bag or plastic basket for carrying toiletries

Shower items (towel, shower-shoes, soap, shampoo, etc.)

Moisturizing skin cream, lip balm, or chapstick

Water Bottle/Camelback

Insect repellent

Notebook and pens for lectures

FIRE WARNING: Northern New Mexico has a very dry climate. DO NOT BRING FLAMABLE ITEMS OR MAKE USE OF ANYTHING WITH OPEN FLAMES SUCH AS CANDLES, MATCHES or INCENSE .
